“We count on Intermat in order to meet not only end customers but also equipment
manufacturers and new distributors.”
Our company was created 30 years ago. Initially, we developed safety systems and charge monitoring devices with rail and road digger applications, which we sold throughout Europe. This was how our relationships with the major equipment manufacturers such as Liebherr, Case, Volvo, Caterpillar, etc., on whose machines our systems could be mounted, were developed.
Our three product ranges, manufactured in Great Britain, generate turnover of some €10 million from sales not only in Europe but also in the Middle East where we have an office. We sell to the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Spain; we are currently working on the Italian market and seek partners in France.
We have three product ranges. The initial range, from which Prolec originated, revolves around machine safety. This enables the equipment position to be determined in hazardous conditions or in the presence of obstacles, and to compare this with the work envelope. It also enables the machine load to be monitored in comparison with the relevant load chart. The second range is an on-board weighing system, mainly used on loaders and articulated haulers, which can also be installed on variable reach trucks. The third range comprises guidance systems for hydraulic excavators that enable the position of the bucket teeth to be determined right down to the last centimetre via the sensors placed on the equipment, boom, dipperstick and bucket. Our systems are particularly useful if the excavator is operated on downhill or banked terrain, and, in all cases, improve productivity. Operating either in 2D or in 3D mode, they can be used both for earthmoving and for roadworks, foundations, dredging, demolition, sandpit operations, etc.
We intend to display our solutions to the contractors who visit Intermat. But we also intend to meet equipment manufacturers who may be interested in using our equipment. Lastly, Intermat may enable us to find new distributors, both in France and in other countries.
