The INTERMAT Innovation Awards: a competition designed to honour "international innovation"
The Intermat Innovation Awards are part of Intermat’s drive to reward innovation. As a veritable showcase for innovations from around the world, they single out equipment, technology, services and products designed to advance the construction and building materials industries. The competition was open exclusively to exhibitors registered for INTERMAT, and rewarded innovation in 3 categories: Machinery, Equipment & Components, Services.
In addition to being innovative in nature, the winning products represent a significant advance in technical design and the technology used, or offer gains in terms of cost savings, operation, use or sustainable development. Naturally, they must comply with all current French and European Union regulations and standards.
An overall Special Environment Prize was also awarded to an innovation that contributes to respect for the environment.
A panel of European professionals from the research and manufacturing sectors looked at the merits of each exhibitor submission.
The results of this competition were officially unveiled for the first time on 17 January 2009 as part of the Pre-INTERMAT which was held at La Grande Arche de La Défense. The award presentation ceremony took place during the Intermat show in April 2009.

12MTX Hybrid: Multipurpose machinery with 9-tonne tyres, hybrid version.
It offers the same performance as the standard 74kW 12MTX despite having just a 51kW diesel motor, thanks to a 15/30kW electrical motor-generator in place of the pump coupling flange. The primary virtues of the Hybrid 12MTX are its reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions and lower levels of noise pollution.

SKY RADIO 2.0
SKY RADIO is used to detect nearby medium- and high-voltage power lines. It can be installed on concrete pumps, aerial buckets and any other equipment that can reach significant heights. The goal is to eliminate the financial costs associated with accidents involving power lines, but more important to provide a concrete solution for preventing workplace fatalities. SKY RADIO is used on more than 1,500 pumps and conveyors in Europe, including those of Cemex, Point P, ISP, Theam and others.

In-motion variable Pitch Fan Cooling Systems. The fan has the ability to change the fan blade pitch while in motion. This allows the fan system to control air flow through the radiator. The fan can also fully reverse air flow to clean off the radiator or the engine compartment.

The DRP 06 TR is a new concrete placement mini-boom. Mounted on a track carriage, it is also motorized so that two sections can rotate autonomously. The pipes are supported by a metal structure and can be fitted with different diametres. The working area of the boom has a radius of 10 m, and the equipment can be fully controlled by a pushbutton panel or by radio control. This is a lightweight, compact model weighing 3,200 kg, with a maximum height of 2,030 mm and width of 3,610 mm in working conditions.
